Yueyang to Hold Cultural Industry Achievements Exhibition

Contestants from the Miss Tourism World Finals of the previous years will present a special show at Yueyang Culture and Art Exhibition Center on the afternoon of July 16. This show will be the highlight of Yueyang’s Cultural Industry Achievements Exhibition.

The Cultural Industry Achievements Exhibition is sponsored by the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee and the Yueyang Municipal People's Government; and hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee and Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Press and Publication.

In the past 40 years, Yueyang has made great achievements in its cultural development. Based on the statistics, as of 2017, the output value of the city's cultural industry reached 5.8388 billion CNY, the number of cultural enterprises 3,580, and the number of employers working for the industry 151,842.
In the past three years, the total investment in public cultural services has amounted to 2.18 billion CNY. The network of public cultural facilities at the four levels of city, county, township and village has been basically completed.

The exhibition will last for three days. There are close to one hundred enterprises participating, who will display cultural achievements in the fields of development of intangible cultural heritage items, film, television and new media, cultural technology, cultural tourism, creative design, and, arts and crafts. There are three sub-venues: art gallery, Yuhutang, and Meidi Design.

Apart from special show offered by tourism ambassadors, a large-scale intangible cultural heritage performance about Changle story, a dance drama—Confucius, classics recital of Chinese language, launching ceremony of Xiangnv (Hunan-born females) selection, original children’s play—the Wish of a Cat King, and, a children stars’ concert will debut during the exhibition.
