At present, Sanhe Airport has opened Hangzhou-Yueyang-Kunming, Xi¡¯an-Yueyang-Haikou, Yueyang-Guiyang, and Pudong-Yueyang-Beihai routes.
Pudong-Yueyang-Beihai route is operated once a day with an Airbus A320 aircraft. Ticket booking service is available on online travel platforms such as Ctrip, Qunar, and YL.com, and the tickets outlets in Yueyang.
The Beijing-Yueyang and Hongqiao-Yueyang-Chengdu routes will be launched on February 1 and February 2, 2019 respectively. Ticket booking for the two routes has started. By then, there will be 10 routes operated at the airport, with 86 flights every week.

Opened on December 26, 2018, the Yueyang Sanhe Airport has introduced four airlines, including Juneyao Air, Chengdu Airlines, and Chongqing Airlines; and, operated flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Kunming, Chongqing, Guiyang, Hangzhou, Nanning, Xiamen, Qingdao, Harbin, Jinan, Weihai, and Zhoushan. As a new airport, it has seen a surge of passenger throughput. As of October 20, 2019, it has operated 4,588 flights, with an overall passenger load factor exceeding 81%. A total of 465,000 passenger trips have been handled, ranking fifth among Hunan¡¯s airports.

On October 27, an ARJ21 passenger airplane taking off from Yueyang Sanhe Airport landed at the Putuoshan Airport in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province. This marked the official opening of the Yueyang-Zhoushan air route which would boost tourism of the two places.
Zhoushan is an important growth pole for the Zhejiang Marine Economy Development Demonstration Zone, the National Marine Comprehensive Development Experimental Zone and the Yangtze River Delta region. Yueyang is building itself into Hunan¡¯s new growth pole and a national regional central city. The direct flight will help promote economic development and people-to-people exchanges between the two places.

Yueyang-Beijing Flights to Resume
In light of the improved epidemic situation in Beijing, beginning from July 22, the flights between Yueyang Sanhe Airport and Beijing Daxing International Airport will be resumed gradually, according to the China United Airlines. The flight operates once every day, and its cheapest ticket is as low as 254 yuan. Passengers to Beijing should learn about Beijing¡¯s epidemic prevention and control requirements to make proper travel arrangement.
According to the Beijing epidemic prevention and control requirements, from midnight on July 4, Beijing Daxing International Airport will adjust its passenger detection measures. The passengers coming from low-risk regions in Beijing and with ¡°no sign of abnormality¡± health status on the health mini-program, could be exempt from presenting a negative result of nucleic acid test within 7 days. All people are required to have their health status program and temperatures checked before entering terminals.
Flights between Yueyang and Tianjin, and Yueyang and Sanya, will open next month.

Yueyang-Zhangjiajie Flight to Open at Sanhe Airport Since July 14, 2021
It was learned from Yueyang Sanhe Airport on June 22 that, the airport will open Yueyang-Zhangjiajie flight since July 14. There will be one flight daily, operated by Chengdu Airlines. The lowest airfare will be 200 yuan (free of airport tax and fuel surcharge).
Zhangjiajie government will launch favorable summer tourism products. It will continue to implement preferential policies for the aviation travel market. Before December 31, 2021, a ¡°buy one and get one for free¡± discount will be promoted for group tourists from travel agencies who travel by plane to Zhangjiajie. During the summer vacation between June 20 and August 31, Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan core scenic area (including eco-shuttle bus) will offer free admission for gaokao examinees of this year. Fifteen national-level scenic spots and transportation vehicles in these scenic spots, such as Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan core scenic area, Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area, Grand Canyon Scenic Area, and Maoyan River Scenic Area, will offer 50% discount to students and teachers nationwide.
