Zhangjiajie Promotes Winter Tourism in Yueyang
The 2021 Zhangjiajie Winter Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Yueyang on December 17. Wan Dong, member of the Party leadership group of the Zhangjiajie Municipal People¡¯s Government, and Wei Shuping, counterpart of the Yueyang Municipal People¡¯s Government, attended.
Videos of Zhangjiajie tourism promotion and letter of gratitude of the CPC Zhangjiajie Municipal Committee and the Zhangjiajie Municipal People¡¯s Government were shown at the conference. Zhangjiajie presented 3,000 ticket packages to Yueyang, covering its six major areas ¨C Wulingyuan; Tianmen Mountain; Great Canyon; Maoyan River; Huanglong Cave; and, Baofeng Lake.
Wan Dong noted that, the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic in Zhangjiajie in this July and August had impacted Zhangjiajie greatly. Yueyang offered prompt assistance to fight against the epidemic, which demonstrated precious friendship between the two cities. Yueyang is a well-known tourist destination both at home and abroad. He expected for further exchange and cooperation between Zhangjiajie and Yueyang, to boost high-quality integrated development of cultural and tourism industries of both cities.
Wei welcomed the Zhangjiajie delegation. She mentioned that, Zhangjiajie and Yueyang are famous for their mountains and waters respectively. The two cities share complementary advantages and common orientations in cultural and tourism industries, and have promising prospects for cooperation. She hoped to take this opportunity to promote cooperation and exchanges, facilitate resource sharing, strengthen complementarity, deepen friendship, and establish mutual trust and assistance mechanism, in a bid to promote a sound and rapid development of the economy of both cities.
