Yueyang New Year Concert 2019

The Symphony Orchestra of Plovdiv State Opera, Bulgaria, will stage a New Year Concert 2019 at the Yueyang Culture and Art Exhibition and Convention Center on the evening of December 31. This is Yueyang’s eighth annual symphony concert to celebrate New Year beginning since 2012.

The Plovdiv State Opera, the oldest national orchestra, merged with the Plovdiv Symphony Orchestra in 1999. It stages world famous operas, symphony concerts, chamber concerts, and ballets in Bulgaria, and has been invited to perform in Europe and U.S.A. Their performances are much expected by Yueyang people.

Traffic Tips for 2019 New Year Holiday

The 2019 New Year holiday lasts from December 30, 2018 to January 1, 2019. The Hunan Expressway Group announced on December 26 that expressway tolls will not be suspended during the period. The number of vehicles on Hunan expressways is estimated to be 5.92 million, an increase of 3% over last year.

More vehicles will be seen from 16:00 to 21:00 on December 29 (the day before the holiday). Rush hours will last from 9:00 to 11:00 and 16:00 to 19:00 on December 30 and 31. The travel peak is expected to last from 17:00 to 20:00 on January 1, 2019.

Drivers should particularly pay attention to traffic condition around some scenic spots like Yueyang Tower and Junshan Isle.

Several new expressways have been opened to traffic ahead of this year’s New Year holiday, which will provide more travel options for drivers.
