9th Yueyang Municipal People’s Congress First Session Successfully Concludes

The third plenary meeting of the First Session of the 9th Yueyang Municipal People’s Congress was held on the morning of January 2, 2022.

The conference, in accordance with the law, elected the director, deputy directors, secretary-general, and members of the new Standing Committee of the Yueyang Municipal People’s Congress; the mayor and vice mayors of the Yueyang Municipal People’s Government; the director of the Yueyang Municipal Supervisory Commission; the president of the Yueyang Municipal Intermediate People’s Court; and, the chief procurator of the Yueyang Municipal People’s Procuratorate.

There should be 451 representatives at this meeting, and there were 441 deputies present. The number of attendants constitutes the quorum.

According to the votes in the general election, Ma Na was elected as chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the 9th Yueyang Municipal People's Congress, and Li Aiwu mayor of the Yueyang Municipal People's Government.

Wang Tao, Li Jianhua, Li Meiyun, Li Jinsong, Chen Gehui, Huang Weixiong, Wei Shuping, and Zhang Shiyu were elected as vice mayors of the Yueyang Municipal People's Government.

At 11:30, the set agenda was completed and the conference concluded with the national anthem.
