On the afternoon of October 27, Wang Yi¡¯ou, secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee, inspected some vocational colleges in Yueyang City. He asked to thoroughly study and implement President Xi Jinping¡¯s important expositions on education work; adhere to the strategy of prioritizing education development; and, insist on a comprehensive, systematic, targeted, and precise working method, to promote the integrated development of industry, university, and research institute, and train more professional and technical talents for the building of the ¡°three zones and one center¡± ¨C a Yangtze River Economic Belt Green Development Demonstration Zone; an advanced manufacturing cluster zone in central China; a pioneering zone of opening up in Hunan; and, a modernized provincial sub-center city. Xie Sheng, member of the Standing Committee and secretary general of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee, and Zhang Shiyu, deputy chief of the Educational Work Leading Group of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee, attended.
Secretary Wang visited the Yueyang No. 1 Vocational Secondary School, Hunan Petrochemical Vocational Technology College, Hunan Vocational College for Nationalities, and Yueyang Vocational Technical College. He observed the classrooms and practice bases and talked to the leaders and teachers of the colleges. He learned about the situation of teaching, enrollment, research and development, and employment of the schools, and inquired about their difficulties and problems in the current construction and development. He also discussed with the person in charge of the relevant departments, and assigned tasks on site to solve practical problems.
