9th CPPCC Yueyang Municipal Committee First Session Kicks off

On the morning of December 29, the First Session of the 9th CPPCC Yueyang Municipal Committee convened at the Yueyang Culture and Art Exhibition Center. CPPCC members from all fronts of the city entered the venue with enthusiasm, to faithfully perform their duties of political consultation, democratic supervision, and participation in the discussion and the handling of municipal affairs. They gave advices and suggestions for comprehensive implementation of the positioning, missions, and tasks of the “Three Hubs and Four New Missions” Strategy, and accelerating the construction of the “Three Zones and One Center”; namely, a Yangtze River Economic Belt Green Development Demonstration Zone; an advanced manufacturing cluster zone in central China; a pioneering zone of opening up in Hunan; and, a modernized provincial sub-center city.

Those who attended the opening ceremony and were seated in the front row of the rostrum were: Wang Yi’ou, Li Aiwu, Li Zhi, Xu Xinchu, Li Zuofeng, Yang Li, Fang Zhengqi, Wan Wulong, Kong Fujian, Liu Tiejian, Liu Chuanhan, He Zuoyun, and Li Fengbo.

Xu Xinchu, chairman of the 8th CPPCC Yueyang Municipal Committee, entrusted by its Standing Committee, made a work report to the meeting.
