6th Yueyang Chinese Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition
The 6th Yueyang Chinese Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition opened at the Yueyang Art Museum on September 16, 2021.
Liu Xiaobin, presidium member of the Hunan Federation of Literary and Art Circles and deputy chairman of the Hunan Calligraphers Association, and Peng Xianzheng, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Yueyang Municipal People¡¯s Congress, announced the opening.
A total of 346 works are on display to showcase achievements of Hunan-based artists in Chinese calligraphy and seal carving, and celebrate the 100th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China.
The exhibition is the largest professional one in such field, in terms of the number of participators and exhibits, in recent years. After preliminary assessment, expert review, final assessment, and literary review, 165 works stood out and would be displayed. Twenty outstanding works were awarded.
Fifty works created by invited artists and presidium members of the Yueyang Calligraphers Association, and other 126 works are also on display.
The exhibition will open to the public free of charge until October 16, 2021.
