Ceremony for Centralized Commencement of 31 Major Projects Held

A centralized commencement ceremony of the first batch of key industrial projects in 2021 in Pingjiang High-tech Zone was held on May 20. Deputy Mayor Li Wei announced the start of the projects. Huang Weixiong, deputy secretary of the CPC Pingjiang County Committee and mayor of Pingjiang County, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Hu Wei, deputy secretary of the CPC Pingjiang County Committee presided over the ceremony. County leaders Peng Xifeng, Dai Lingmei, and Ai Zhijun attended.

A total of 31 projects started construction this time, with a total investment of 6.278 billion yuan. They are located in Wushi Industrial Zone and Tianyue New District. They mainly include eight snack food companies such as Qiaozuiba Food and Yufeng Food Phase II, 13 mica companies such as Weidi New Materials and Liangcai New Materials, and 10 electronic information companies such as Peide and Shuosheng Communication.

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020), Pingjiang County focused on industrial projects to accelerate development, held activities to attract fellowmen to return, and fostered four leading industries. It has introduced 84 projects each with a value of more than 100 million yuan, built 1.8 million square meters of new industrial standard factory, and developed 101 key projects. Tax revenue of the industrial parks increased from 120 million yuan to 368 million yuan. This had provided a strong impetus for the development of Pingjiang County.
