Mayor Li Highlights “Five-good” Industrial Park Development in Yueyang

On August 9, Li Aiwu, deputy secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee and mayor of Yueyang City, presided over a work scheduling meeting to study, deploy, and promote the establishment of the “Five-good” Industrial Park. The “Five-good” Industrial Park boasts good planning and positioning, innovation platform, industrial project, system and mechanism, and development image. Mayor Li asked to stick to orientation, identify shortcomings, and make breakthroughs in key points, to steadily promote the “Five-good” Industrial Park construction, boost high-quality development, and strive to make Yueyang’s contributions to the implementation of the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy in Hunan Province. Municipal leaders Li Zhi and Liu Xiaoying, Secretary General Sun Zhicheng, and persons in charge of relevant departments, attended.

Creating the “Five-good” Industrial Park is a major strategy determined by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province. In 2021, various departments at all levels in Yueyang City have actively promoted the task, and achieved remarkable results. Most of the main economic indicators of the industrial parks are higher than the average level of Yueyang City. In the first half of the year, Yueyang’s industrial parks achieved 293.4 billion yuan in technology, industry, and trade revenue, a year-on-year increase of 17.8%. They completed fixed asset investment of 44.9 billion yuan, growing by 23.8% yearly. Their total profits were 10.4 billion yuan, up 24.9%. The total taxes paid was 11.45 billion yuan. As of the end of July, there were 394 industrial projects under construction in 10 industrial parks across Yueyang City.

The Yueyang Municipal Commission of Development and Reform notified the progress of the “Five-good” Industrial Park construction in Yueyang City. The Yueyang Municipal Commission Office for Public Sector Reform of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee and the Yueyang Municipal Financial Work Office respectively made work reports on the industrial park s’ system and mechanism reform, and the status of their financing.
