Hunan Ecotourism Gains Popularity During National Day Holiday

The Hunan Provincial Bureau of Forestry announced on October 8 that the province's forest and grass ecosystem received 8.98 million tourist trips and realized a comprehensive tourism income of 6.085 billion yuan from October 1 to 7.

Hunan Province calculated its forest and grass ecosystem data based on eco-tourism during the National Day holiday for the first time. Hunan has 82 organizations submitting eco-tourism sample data, including scenic spots, forest parks, wetland parks, geological parks, rock desert parks, and grassland parks. The statistics can show Hunan’s eco-tourism status of the forest and grass system in a comprehensive and truthful way.

The Hunan Provincial Bureau of Forestry stated that during the National Day holiday, viewing sceneries, admiring flowers, camping and hiking, and experiencing farm work were all good choices for self-driving tourists in the province. Many eco-tourism scenic spots in the province have thoughtfully arranged various cultural tourism activities. Yunshan National Forest Park held a "Good Life Festival" and carried out jungle adventure and mass dance. Youxian Jiuxian Lake Scenic Area carried out a starry sky tent camping carnival. Changde Taohuayuan Scenic Area launched an activity to celebrate harvest and explore autumn scene, focusing on rural life experience. Hongjiang Qingjiang Lake National Wetland Park held a free karaoke event. Yueyang Tower Scenic Area offered night tours. These activities effectively increased people’s travel enthusiasm.
