3rd Yueyang Cultural & Art Festival Raises Curtain
The third Yueyang Cultural & Art Festival kicked off at Yueyang Cultural & Artistic Convention & Exhibition Center on June 22. The previous Galaxy Award-winning performances were staged.
The provincial and municipal leaders present at the opening ceremony included: Hunan Culture Department Leading Party Members' Group secretary and Director Yu Xinrong, CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee Secretary Hu Zhongxiong, Yueyang vice mayors Hu Xiaomin and Li Wei, CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee Publicity Department Director Ma Na, Yueyang Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee Deputy Director Peng Xianzheng, and CPPCC Yueyang Municipal Committee Deputy Director Li Ping.
Representatives of the Yueyang Armed Police Detachment, Fire Brigade, Sanitation Department, Volunteers Association, literature associations, and rural cultural volunteers watched the performances.
The festival has six parts, including opening ceremony; closing ceremony; professional art performances; public cultural activities; and calligraphy, painting and photo exhibitions. Excellent programs from home and abroad will be staged.
