Vice Governor He Baoxiang Inspects Chenglingji New Port
Hunan Vice Governor He Baoxiang inspected Chenglingji New Port on June 14, 2017. He stressed that high-standard plans should be made to guarantee seamless joint between waterways, railways, and highways, and foster a smooth and efficient collection and distribution system. This helps support Hunan’s participation in the national "Belt and Road" initiative. Yueyang Mayor Liu Hesheng, vice mayors Yang Kun and Qiu Hong, municipal government secretary general Liu Chuanhan attended the inspection tour.
Between January and May this year, Chenglingji New Port’s GDP was 5.37 billion yuan, an increase of 20.1% year on year; and it invested 4 billion yuan in fixed assets, an increase of 34%. The cargos imported and exported through Chenglingji Port totaled 11.58 million tons, an increase of 42.65%; and the container throughput stood at 185,700 TEUs, an increase of 85.14%.
