Senior Central Leader Inspects Yueyang¡¯s Modern Agriculture
A delegation headed by Tang Renjian, deputy director of the central rural work leading group, inspected Yueyang¡¯s progress in new industrialization, informatization, urbanization, and agricultural modernization. Mayor of Yueyang City Liu Hesheng, and Vice Mayor Li Jiyang accompanied Tang on his tour.
In recent years, Yueyang has vigorously promoted urban-rural integrated development, and improved weak links in agriculture and rural areas. Its efforts yielded fruitful results in accelerating and upgrading modern agriculture. Yueyang established two national modern agricultural demonstration zones in Huarong County and Quyuan Administration District respectively, as well as a national leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration zone in Junshan District, which was also rated as a national quality control of agricultural products county (district).
Deputy Director Tang called for thoroughly implementing policies and plans made by the Central Government on rural reform and development. He urged Yueyang to actively and steadily advance rural reform, pushing the works related to agriculture and rural area to a new level.
