Secretary Wang Inspects Key Industrial Project Construction
On the morning of September 7, Wang Yi¡¯ou, secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee, inspected key industrial projects at the Yueyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, to solve specific problems that hinder development. Wang stressed that the zone is one of the two main engines of Yueyang¡¯s economic development. He added that we must thoroughly implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping¡¯s important speech made during his inspection in Hunan and focus on economic development. He continued that we must center on high-tech and manufacturing industries to boost industrial project construction, promote high-quality development, and make more contributions to the construction of "three zones and one center¡± ¨C a Yangtze River Economic Belt Green Development Demonstration Zone; an advanced manufacturing cluster zone in central China; a pioneering zone of opening up in Hunan; and, a modernized provincial sub-center city.

This year, the Yueyang Economic and Technological Development Zone has followed the establishment standards of "Five-good Industrial Park", focused on industrial development and project construction, and strived to start a new round of "entrepreneurship". It is estimated that from January to August, the total industrial output value of the zone reached 32.543 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 33.3%. A total of 11.758 billion yuan of fixed asset investment was completed, an increase of 20.1%. More than 8 billion yuan of industrial investment was completed, a year-on-year increase of 105%. Main indicators have maintained a growth rate of more than 20%, hitting record high in recent years. All have reached or exceeded the expected target set at the beginning of the year.
Wang Yi¡¯ou conducted field inspections on projects such as the "two machines" precision casting and master alloy material preparation, Shenzhen Ruijian intelligent sliding table and electric boat drive and control integrated control system, Yueyang Science and Technology Industrial Park, Liandong U Valley•Yueyang International Enterprise Hub. Wang presided over a field office meeting to listen to relevant reports, communicated with heads of relevant departments of the zone and municipal departments, learned in detail about the problems that hinder project progress, and studied solutions and measures.
