Deputy Secretary Wu Lan Inspects Yueyang County

Wu Lan, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, inspected Yueyang County on August 26, 2021. She asked to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; insist on giving priority to the development of agricultural industry and rural areas; focus on building characteristic towns; develop and strengthen county economy; promote continuous increase in farmers’ income; and, realize common prosperity. Wang Yi’ou, secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee, and Li Zhi, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee and executive vice mayor of Yueyang City, accompanied her on the tour.


In recent years, Yueyang County has adhered to the strategy of rural revitalization to arrange the work of “agriculture, rural areas, and farmers”. It has shifted resource strength, policy measures, and work focus to rural revitalization. On the basis of consolidating and expanding the results of poverty alleviation, it has prioritized the development of rural industries and promoted implementation of various decisions and deployments of the central and provincial Party committees and the provincial government. In accordance with the principle of “adjusting measures to local conditions and acting within capacity”, centering on the goal of integrating life, production, and ecology, it has actively promoted the construction of characteristic towns, and strived to create beautiful villages that are suitable for living, working, and traveling. It has also paid attention to transforming the Party’s political advantages into governance capabilities; improving the rural governance system and mechanism; promoting the combination of autonomy, rule of law, and rule of virtue; stimulating the vitality of rural development; and, providing a strong guarantee for rural revitalization.
