Mayor Li Aiwu Inspects Big Data Work

On August 19, Li Aiwu, deputy secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee and mayor of Yueyang City, inspected big data work. She stressed that smart city construction should be empowered by big data, so as to benefit the people with the achievements. Li Zhi, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee and executive vice mayor, and heads of related government departments participated.

Li Aiwu inspected the operation of big data management system against the COVID-19 epidemic at the Yueyang Bureau of Administrative Examination and Approval. She learned about data collection channels and system operation procedures, and talked with frontline workers to fully understand epidemic prevention and control supported by big data.

Mayor Li chaired a meeting to coordinate related work and listened to the report on the work of construction of digital government and smart Yueyang.

Currently Yueyang has made progress in building smart city. A digital city system is basically taking shape. A mobile service platform has been established. Construction of application scenarios including smart medical care and smart education are progressing.
