Mayor Li Inspects Anti-epidemic Work in Major Venues

On August 8, Li Aiwu, deputy secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee and mayor of Yueyang City, went to downtown Yueyang to supervise the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control of key venues. She asked to strengthen the management and control of key areas, venues, and links; timely plug loopholes in anti-epidemic work; and jointly build a strict defense line for epidemic prevention and control, to ensure the sustainable and healthy development of the city¡¯s economy and society. Xiang Weixiong, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and executive deputy director of the Yueyang Municipal People's Congress, Sun Zhicheng, secretary general of the Yueyang Municipal People¡¯s Government, and persons in charge of relevant departments, attended.

Mayor Li and her party successively visited the Chenglingji designated port inspection platform for imported meat and a cold chain logistics company. They inspected key prevention and control links such as quarantine areas and refrigerated warehouses, and learned about the loading and unloading of import and export goods at the terminal, sampling inspection, environmental sanitation, and anti-epidemic measures implementation for personnel involved in terminal operations.

At the Chenglingji Neighborhood Community Health Service Center, vaccination is being carried out in an orderly manner. Meanwhile, free COVID-19 vaccination for the youths aged 15-17 has been launched here. Mayor Li inspected the site arrangement and work process of the vaccination site on the spot.

She also checked the renovation of medical quarantine sites and the establishment of ¡°Three Zones and Two Passages¡± at the Hunan Vocational College for Nationalities and the Hunan Institute of Science and Technology. ¡°Three Zones and Two Passages¡± refers to clean zones, partially contaminated zones, contaminated zones, and separate passages for medical staff and patients.
