8th Yueyang Municipal People’s Congress Sixth Session Kicks off

The Sixth Session of the 8th Yueyang Municipal People’s Congress was grandly convened at Yueyang Culture and Art Exhibition Center on January 19, 2021.

A total of 444 representatives should be present, 425 attended, and 19 asked for a sick or casual leave. The number met the quorum.




At 9 o’clock, Wang Yiou, session executive chairman and presidium executive chairman, announced the opening of the conference, and all the delegates rose and sang the national anthem.

Li Aiwu, Yueyang mayor, delivered the government work report to the conference on behalf of the Yueyang Municipal People's Government. The report has three parts: 1. national economic and social development review during the “13th Five-Year” period; 2. overall requirements and work plan during the “14th Five-Year” period; 3. work objectives and key tasks and arrangement in 2021.
