Hunan Vice Governor Greets Staff Contributing to Flood Relief in Yueyang

Chen Fei, Hunan vice governor and flood control headquarters executive deputy chief commander, inspected Yueyang for flood control and relief work on August 1. He, on behalf of the Hunan Provincial People¡¯s Government and the provincial flood control headquarters, extended greetings to the armed polices, soldiers, militia, and staff fighting at the front lines for flood prevention and relief.

The leaders present included: Wang Yiou, secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee; Li Aiwu, deputy secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee and Yueyang mayor; Chen Ailin, deputy secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee; Zhou Jun, commander of the Yueyang Military Sub-Command; Liu Tiejian, vice chairperson of the CPPCC Yueyang Municipal Committee; and, Liu Chuanhan, general secretary-general of the Yueyang Municipal People¡¯s Government.




At the Yueyang Exhibition and Convention Center¡¯s square, Vice Governor Chen expressed gratitude to more than 300 officers and soldiers who have participated in flood prevention and relief. He called for close attention to flood prevention and full preparations for protracted fight against the flood. All related authorities should coordinate efforts to protect and motivate staff fighting for flood relief, so as to win a complete victory in flood prevention and relief, and safeguard the people¡¯s lives and Hunan¡¯s development.
