The photo, taken on December 9, shows a row of ancient buildings in Ming and Qing-era architectural style at a 100-year-old fish lane on the south of Baling Square in Yueyang City. A historical and cultural fish-themed street is taking shape. This year, in order to protect and inherit the Baling fish lane culture, the city has repaired a total of 6,700 square meters of historical buildings, restored 1,050 square meters of quartzite slab pavements, and renovated 6,463 square meters of building facade. The fish lane is expected to open to the public around the Spring Festival of 2020. (Photo/Xu Xing, Hunan Daily)
