12th China Modern Logistics Science and Technology Innovation Conference Opens in Yueyang

On October 11, the 12th China Modern Logistics Science and Technology Innovation Conference was held in Yueyang. The 2019 China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) Science and Technology Awards were announced simultaneously. Li Aiwu, deputy secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee and mayor of Yueyang, attended and addressed the opening ceremony.

Persons in charge of national ministries and commissions and CFLP, logistics experts, representatives from relevant enterprises, were present and shared their views on modern logistics development.

The attendees also included municipal leaders Li Zhi, Li Yongfeng, Liu Xiaoying, Secretary General Liu Chuanhan, and heads of relevant departments.

The three-day event will include guest lectures, dialogues, Yueyang investment promotion conference and the 2019 CFLP Science and Technology Awards Gala, and a field visit to the Chenglingji New Area Comprehensive Logistics Park.

In recent years, the Yueyang government has cultivated modern logistics as a leading industry. It has implemented an action plan to foster a 100-billion-yuan modern logistics industry, established the Logistics Industry Development Research Institute, and founded a modern logistics industry development fund. The efforts have effectively promoted the rapid development of modern logistics. There are 15 large-scale logistics parks and 125 logistics enterprises above designated size, including 31 logistics enterprises above Grade A. The government is committed to building the modern logistics industry into its third 100-billion-yuan industry by 2020.

Li Aiwu said that we will unswervingly promote the deep integration of technological innovation and modern logistics, promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional logistics, help logistics companies to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency, so as to lay a solid foundation for the high-quality development of modern logistics industry. Li expected more logistics enterprises to start up business and seek development opportunities in Yueyang, in order to create a better future for all.
