Taiwan Delegation Visits Yueyang

Yok Mu-ming, chairman of Taiwan's New Party, led a delegation to visit Yueyang on August 28. Liu Hesheng, secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee, delivered a welcome speech.

In recent years, Yueyang and Taiwan have expanded cooperation in such fields as economy and trade; culture; science and technology; and, education. This helps build a closer tie and enhance frequent exchanges between the two places.  

Secretary Liu extended warm welcome to Yok Mu-ming and his entourage. Liu remarked that Yueyang will take their visit as an opportunity to further implement preferential policies for Taiwan compatriots, deepen exchanges and cooperation, and enhance mutual understanding. 

Chairman Yok Mu-ming expressed sincere thanks to the warm reception given by the Yueyang CPC Municipal Committee and the Yueyang People¡¯s Government. Yok said that he has a good impression on Yueyang and wished the city a brighter future. Though it was Yok¡¯s first visit to Yueyang, he was deeply attracted by the city¡¯s long history and profound culture. He expected that Taiwan youths learn more about it and carry forward the Chinese culture so that they may strengthen their national identity. It is hoped that Yueyang and Taiwan will enhance communication and understanding to promote cooperation.
