On May 28 morning, Yueyang Mayor Li Aiwu, who is also the deputy secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee, inspected project progress at some major projects construction sites. Liu Xiaoying, vice chairman of the CPPCC Yueyang Municipal Committee, and Secretary General Liu Chuanhan, and heads of relevant departments participated.

This year Chenglingji New Port Area has made great efforts to promote project implementation. At present, more than 20 projects including Jiuding Industrial Park have been fully launched; 15 projects have been signed, with a contracted investment of 16.697 billion CNY. More than 10 projects with an annual output value of nearly 10 billion CNY and an investment of over 1 billion CNY, such as Huawei and Jiankang Automobile, are at the business matchmaking stage. A number of projects with an investment exceeding 100 million CNY will be launched.

At a symposium held later, Mayor Li Aiwu pointed out that the construction of major projects is an important engine to promote the high-quality development of Yueyang. The Yueyang Municipal Committee and the Yueyang government attach great importance to and fully support the development of Chenglingji New Port Area. Efforts should be made to focus on key points and build Chenglingji into a leading area. Li urged that the area should make full use of the driving force of its leading and key enterprises, adjust industrial structure, promote industrial clusters, and improve upstream and downstream industrial chains. Synergic efforts should be made to optimize services.
