Secretary Liu Hesheng Inspects Yangtze River Coastline

Liu Hesheng, CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee secretary, went to Huarong County, Junshan District, and Chenglingji New Port District on February 26, 2019. He conducted on-site inspection and supervision of the Yangtze River coastline and ecological restoration along the Yangtze River.

He emphasized that Yueyang should follow President Xi Jinping's thoughts on ecological civilization and requirements of “protecting the Yangtze River”. He asked to:
-Put the Yangtze River ecological environment restoration in an overwhelming position;
-Regard natural ecological as the core and engineering measures as the supporting facilities;
-Carry forward the “Seven Actions” of resettlement and treatment of chemical enterprises along the Yangtze River, rectification and integration of the Yangtze River shoreline, treatment of black and odorous water bodies, ecological restoration along the Yangtze River and the Dongting Lake, remediation of “hollow houses” along the rivers and lakes, rectification of key areas, and implementation of River Chief System (River Managers, titled as “River Chiefs”, who governs the waterways management);
-Deal with the “hollow houses” along the Yangtze River to promote the clean village action;
-Focus on the time nodes to complete the tasks with high standards;
-Make outstanding achievements to take the lead in the Yangtze River treatment field; and,
-Creat a new pattern of ecological development.

Municipal leaders Xiong Wei, Tan Zhenghong, and Yang Kun accompanied him on the tour.
