14th China (Miluo) International Dragon Boat Festival Opens

Duanwu or Dragon Boat Festival marked on June 18 this year. On the same day, the 14th China (Miluo) International Dragon Boat Festival was launched at Quzi Cultural Park. More than 10,000 visitors participated in the festival. They paid homage to the world-famous cultural celebrity and patriotic poet Qu Yuan.

Later on, the Qu Yuan-themed Stamps Issuing Ceremony was launched. And the preliminary contests and the final of 200-meter dragon boat races participated by 13 local teams were held.


Between June 18 and 20, a philatelic items exhibition, a celebrity letter exhibition and a book fair will be held at Quzi Academy.

Between June 28 and 29, the First ¡°Qu Yuan Cup¡± Miluo International Dragon Boat Rally Race will be held. Sixteen teams including 4 from foreign countries and 12 from China will participate.

Quzi Cultural Park is a key cultural project and landmark cultural project of Hunan¡¯s 12th Five-year Plan (2011-2015).
