Magnificent Dongting Lake Bridge Under Construction

So far, the main part of the bridge has joined with other parts over the Dongting Lake and the main body construction is completed. The bridge approaches are under construction.

The bridge is an important part of the Menghua Railway for coal transport. The railway is designed to link the coal-rich western Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region with Ji'an City in east China's Jiangxi Province.

The bridge is 10,444.659 meters long and has a main span of 1,290.24 meters. It is the world's longest three-tower cable-stayed railway bridge.
