¡°Building Inland Port and Boosting Opening-up¡± Summit Forum Held in Yueyang
The summit forum for "Implementing and Developing New Idea, Transforming and Upgrading to Strengthen Weak Links ¡ª Vigorously Building Inland Port and Boosting Opening-up of Hunan" was inaugurated in Yueyang on Dec. 5. More than 20 domestic renowned experts and scholars held discussions and offered suggestions on the rise of Yueyang and Hunan.
The forum was presided over by CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee Duputy Secretary Li Aiwu. CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee Secretary Hu Zhongxiong and Executive Vice President of Hunan University Liu Jinshui attended and delivered speeches. Other municipal officials including Tan Zhenghong, Li Wei, Liu Xiaoying and Fang Zhengqi were also present.

The forum was co-sponsored by Hunan University, the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee and the Yueyang Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by School of Economics & Trade of Hunan University, Chenglingji New Port Area and Chenglingji Comprehensive Bonded Zone. It aims to study and publicize the spirits of the 19th CPC National Congress, implement the strategic deployment of "breaking new ground in pursuing opening-up on all fronts" proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping when delivering report at the 19th CPC National Congress, and step up efforts to implement the "innovation-driven opening up and the rise of Hunan" strategy put forward by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the People¡¯s Government of Hunan Province.
