Developing Country Agricultural Delegation Visits Hunan

On September 1, CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee Vice Chairman Dai Daojin met in Changsha with a delegation of the 8th China-IFAD South-South Cooperation Workshop and the 9th China-Africa High Level Experience Sharing Program.

The delegation consisted of 17 agricultural officials from 6 developing countries such as South Africa, Surinam, and Mongolia. They were here to inspect the projects supported by the International Fund for Agriculture Development.

Vice Chairman Dai said that targeted poverty alleviation measures, such as ¡°Internet + Poverty Elimination¡±, have lifted more than 5 million poor population from poverty over the past five years. This is a result of the Chinese government¡¯s leadership and friendly cooperation among international organizations. Dai added, ¡°Hunan is willing to share its agricultural development and poverty alleviation experience with other countries, and hopes to strengthen mutual cooperation.¡±

South Africa Rural Development and Land Reform Deputy Minister Mrs. KC Mashego-Dlamini noted, ¡°Hunan is experienced in modern agriculture and targeted poverty alleviation. We will learn from these practices to benefit our country.¡±
