Hunan Provincial Private Sector Added Value Up 8.1% in H1

The leading group conference on promoting provincial private economy and SMEs development was held on August 22, 2017. It was announced that, in the first half of this year (H1), the added value in Hunan provincial private sector has accounted for 61% of the total GDP, at a growth rate of 8.1%. The total actual investment in this sector was 802.264 billion yuan, an increase of 10.2% compared with the same period last year.

By the end of this June, the provincial market entities of various types totaled three million, of which 2.4 million were non-public economic organizations, accounting for 80.5% of the total.

The Hunan Economic and Information Technology Commission monitored 1,050 small and medium enterprises. It shows their year-on-year total revenue grew by 11.48% and capacity utilization 1.27% in H1.

The Hunan Provincial Commerce Department has established 42 comprehensive foreign trade service centers in industrial parks and zones, having served more than 1,000 enterprises and assisting SMEs in global market expansion. Since the official operation in 2014, the Hunan provincial SMEs public service platform network has received more than 78,000 business registrations, released 11,626 service items, and organized 3,155 service activities.
