Yueyang Economic Work Conference Sets the Tone for 2017
The Second Plenary Session of the Seventh CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee (Enlarged) Meeting & the Economic Work Conference of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee was inaugurated on the morning of Jan. 3. It was requested to thoroughly implement the essence of Central and Provincial Economic Work Conference, review Yueyang's economic work in 2016, analyze the current economic situation and set the tone for the economic work in 2017.
Secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee Hu Zhongxiong and Mayor of Yueyang City Liu Hesheng delivered speeches at the conference. Municipal leaders present at the meeting included Li Aiwu, Li Xiangyue, Chen Qida, Tang Daoming, Wang Guishu, Li Zhi, Zhang Zuokun, Hu Xiaomin and Xiong Wei.
According to the conference, Yueyang will uphold the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Plenary Sessions of the 18th CPC Central Committee, the Provincial Economic Work Conference, the CPC Hunan Provincial Congress, the CPC Yueyang Municipal Congress.
We should promote all-round economic, political, cultural, social, and ecological progress, and the implementation of the strategy of Four comprehensives (a strategic blueprint proposed by President Xi Jinping to build a moderately prosperous society, deepen reform, govern the nation according to law, and strictly govern the Party on a deeply comprehensive level). We should focus on the general principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability as we pursue new development ideas. We will adapt to and guide the new normal in China's economic development, focus on promoting supply-side structural reform, and implement strategies of innovation-oriented development and the rise of Hunan via opening up.
Efforts will be exerted to boost industrial development, focus on project development, carry forward transformation and upgrading, and improve people's livelihood.
All these move will guarantee stable and sound economic development and a harmonious society, accelerate the construction of a new "growth pole" for the development of Hunan as well as an ideal environment for living, business and travel, and open a chapter of Yueyang in building a prosperous, beautiful, happy and new Hunan.
