The 2022 Yueyang New Year's Concert will be staged by the Folk Orchestra of the China Ethnic Song and Dance Ensemble on January 12. It will feature ethnic orchestral music; morin khuur or horsehead fiddle and band; hulusi or cucurbit flute and band; and, zhongruan and band.
The Folk Orchestra of the China Ethnic Song and Dance Ensemble is one of the orchestras with the most ethnic features on the stage that displays Chinese ethnic music. Its distinctive ethnic characteristics and strong artistic style are well-known at home and abroad.
With the purpose of inheriting, prospering, and developing the culture and art of the Chinese nation, the folk orchestra continues to collect, improve, develop, and create ethnic music in various ethnic regions across the country.
