In recent years, a large number of high-tech projects with core competitiveness in the market have taken root in Yueyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (YETDZ), showing a gratifying trend of ¡°continuous growth¡±.

YETDZ has been insisted on innovation-oriented development and focused on agglomeration into industrial chain. The main leaders of its working and management committees have taken the lead in carrying out industrialization and precision investment attraction. They have introduced a group of high-tech, high-value-added, and high-average-benefit sci-tech enterprises, including Oriental Yuhong Waterproof Technology Co., Ltd., Neptunus Biology, ENN Group, and other Global Fortune 500 companies, Top 500 companies in China, Top 500 private companies, and listed companies. There were also a number of industrial projects each with an investment of over 1 billion yuan. The Intelligent Manufacturing and Sensing Technology Industrial Park, jointly built by the Institute of Technological Sciences, Wuhan University and the People¡¯s Government of Yueyang City, has been settled in the YETDZ. The Emergency Equipment Industrial Park of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has signed a contract with the YETDZ.

YETDZ has also paid attention to optimizing industrial stocks, implemented enterprise expansion and doubling plans, and promoted enterprises such as Kelun Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to accelerate the development and production of new technologies, products, and processes.

YETDZ has issued ten policies for sci-tech innovation and 20 policies for strengthening the zone with talents. Each year, nearly 50 million yuan is allocated to support enterprises to improve the level of sci-tech innovation. YETDZ now has 52 national, provincial, and municipal science and technology innovation platforms, including academician workstations, engineering technology research centers, and 86 high-tech enterprises. Between January and March this year, the output value of high-tech products reached 9 billion yuan, and the high-tech added value was 2.52 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.1%.
