Dongfeng Lake Titled Hunan’s “Representative of Beautiful Rivers and Lakes”

The Hunan Department of Ecology and Environment granted 20 rivers and lakes across the province with the “Outstanding Representatives of Beautiful Rivers and Lakes in Hunan” title at the 2021 World Environment Day Hunan celebration on June 5.

Based on the requirement of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Hunan authorities organized an election of representatives of beautiful rivers and lakes around the province last month.

The representatives of Hunan’s beautiful rivers and lakes are:
Guitang River, Weishui River Ningxiang section, Houhu Lake, and Zhushuqiao Reservoir in Changsha;
Dongyang Lake in Chaling, and Lushui River in Liling, Zhuzhou;
Shuifumiao Reservoir in Xiangtan;
Yanling Reservoir in Xinshao, Shaoyang;
Dongfeng Lake in Yueyang;
Yuanjiang River Dingcheng section, Taohuayuan Shuixi River, and West Maoli Lake in Changde;
Lishui River north origin in Sangzhi, Zhangjiajie;
Datong Lake in Yiyang;
Dongjiang Lake in Chenzhou;
Jiuyi River in Ningyuan, Yongzhou;
Qushui River Huitong section in Huaihua;
Lianshui River in Shuangfeng, Loudi; and,
Tuojiang River in Fenghuang, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.
