Hunan’s First Teenager Ecological Civilization Education Base Established in Yueyang

A “He Xiao Qing” campaign, also a teenager environmental protection exhibition, was launched in Yueyang on March 22, 2021. The Yueyang Youth Cultural Creation Center, Hunan’s first “He Xiao Qing” teenager ecological civilization education and practice base, was inaugurated simultaneously.

The “He Xiao Qing” campaign is hosted by several departments like the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, Office of Cyberspace Affairs Commission of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Hunan Office of River Chief System. The organizer announced 7 programs of the campaign, and granted “He Xiao Qing” flags to youth volunteer teams from across the province. Hunan Institute of Science and Technology, on behalf of Hunan-based higher educational institutions, advocated to study the Yangtze River Protection Law. Campaign participators listened to a lecture on legally protecting Yangtze River, and exchanged their opinions.

“He Xiao Qing” is a joint name of the young volunteers who actively participate in protecting the mother river and assist in implementing the river chief system.

The “He Xiao Qing” volunteers led participators to visit the teenager environmental protection exhibition, Dongting Lake Museum, and Hualong dock in Junshan District, and organized interactive activities.
