Miluo Volunteers to Help Epidemic Prevention, Control

On January 21, the Miluo government convened a meeting to map out volunteer work on COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control for 2021. The city will set up volunteer workstations at important places such as high-speed railway stations, railway stations, passenger terminals, government service centers, markets, shopping malls, supermarkets, communities, villages, and towns. Relevant departments and volunteers are organized to provide passengers and residents with such services as taking body temperature, publicizing epidemic prevention and control knowledge, helping keep public order, offering consultation and guidance, and registering personal information.

Miluo City issued proposals to respond to the frequent population movement during the Spring Festival travel rush, and the increased pressure for epidemic prevention and control. They included the "Proposal on Volunteer Service During the Spring Festival in Miluo City for 2021", ˇ°Proposal on a Shift Away from Outdated Social Practices During the Spring Festivalˇ±, "Proposal on Advocating the Use of Serving Chopsticks and Spoonsˇ±, and ˇ°Proposal on Deepening the Patriotic Public Health Campaign in Miluo Cityˇ±. The proposals have received positive responses from all walks of life in the city. As an urban township, Guiyi Town will also recruit 100 college student volunteers, to encourage the public to use serving chopsticks and spoons, abandon outdated social practices, participate in patriotic public health campaigns.
