Hunan Acting Governor Mao Inspects Hengyang, Yueyang
On January 19, Mao Weiming, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee deputy secretary and Hunan acting governor, came to Hengyang and Yueyang for inspection. He asked to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping¡¯s important speech made when inspecting Hunan; follow the arrangements of the Central and Provincial CPC Committees¡¯ Economic Work Conference; carry forward the ¡°Three Highlands and Four New Missions¡± strategy; accelerate the building of provincial sub-central cities; and contribute to the promotion of Hunan's position in the national regional economic structure.

Acting Governor Mao and his entourage successively visited Shigu Academy, Beihang-Hengyang Industry-University-Research Center, Shanghai Jiaotong University 5G Materials and Equipment Innovation Center, TBEA Hengyang Company, New Kinpo Inkjet Printer, Huawei High-end Manufacturing Base Project, Chenglingji International Container Terminal, and Yueyang Tower Scenic Area. He emphasized that it is necessary to optimize the business environment; build bases and parks for the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements; attract high-end elements; and do well in structural adjustment, industrial optimization, and quality and efficiency improvement. It is necessary to tap the historical and cultural heritage, and strengthen and optimize the cultural tourism industry.
He added that efforts should be made to exercise strict Party self-governance in every respect; improve the political ability, strategic vision, and professional level of Party members and cadres to grasp new development stage, implement new development idea, and build new development pattern; build a loyal, upright, and responsible team of cadres; and, work hard to build a modern new Hunan.
