Archaeological Excavation Site at Luocheng Ruins

The photos above, taken on January 9, show the Xiaozhouluo archaeological excavation site at the Luocheng Ruins, Quyuan District, Yueyang. An expert meeting was held by the Hunan Provincial Archaeological Research Institution on the excavation of Luocheng Town on the day. More than 20 archaeologists from Hubei, Anhui, Henan, and Zhejiang participated in site-observation and discussion. A number of relics of middle and late stages of Spring and Autumn Period (770BC-221BC) were unearthed at Xiaozhouluo in the north of the Luocheng Ruins, one of the earlies region that Chu culture was introduced.
