Mayor Li Inspects Waterlogging Point Treatment, Vegetable Market Improvement

On October 14, Yueyang Mayor Li Aiwu visited downtown districts to inspect the improvement of waterlogging spots and vegetable markets. She asked to advance these two tasks in accordance with the timeline, so as to effectively improve citizen satisfaction and sense of gain with the actual effect of rectification. Deputy Mayor Li Zuofeng and Chen Gehui, Secretary-General Liu Chuanhan, and relevant department heads attended.

According to the municipal government arrangement, there are 10 waterlogging points in main urban areas that need remediation this year. And currently 7 have been completed. Mayor Li and her entourage successively visited the waterlogging points of Yijiazu in Liyuzui Community and Yuebo Residential Community in Fengqiaohu Community. They checked the construction situation, studied solutions with experts on site, and arranged related work.


This year, 28 vegetable markets in the urban area have been listed as the key livelihood assessment content of the municipal government. Four of them have been completed and the rest will be completed before December 20. Mayor Li went to Fengqiao Lake Xingsheng Vegetable Market and Nanyue Poshang Vegetable Market to observe the market's functional zoning, booth setting, and construction if supporting facilities. She also had in-depth exchanges with market operators and listened to the public comments, opinions, and suggestions on renovation, upgrading, management and operation work.
