Han Changfu, minister of agriculture and rural affairs, and Xu Dazhe, Hunan governor, visit the viticis fructus ecological plantation on Qingshan Island and talk with former fishermen who have embraced new identities ashore.


On August 3, Governor Xu met with Minister Han and his entourage in Yueyang.

On August 3 and 4, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Han Changfu led an inspection team to Hunan, to inspect the work of ensuring food security and fishing banning in the Yangtze River basin. Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe joined the inspection tour and had a meeting with Han Changfu in Yueyang.

Vice Governor Sui Zhongcheng and Secretary-General Wang Qun participated in the above activities.

The inspection team set off from the Xiangyin Maritime Wharf to Qingshan Island in Xiangyin County; visited the Qingshan Island Management Station in the Hengling Lake Provincial Nature Reserve, and the Qingshan Island Viticis Fructus Ecological Plantation; and communicated with local fishermen. They learned about fishing ban implementation and the production and living conditions of the fishermen who had casted for new jobs ashore.
