Since the beginning of summer vacation, business and vacation trips increased. Hunan¡¯s airports have seen a surge of passenger flows. It is estimated that, more than 2.3 million trips will be handled, and 19,000 flights will operate, during this June.

Hunan¡¯s airports have resumed passenger flights to 120 airports in 28 provinces, and the number of flights increased from 110 to 736. The Changsha Huanghua International Airport has resumed 93% of normal capacity. Regional airports, including Changde and Yueyang airports, have resumed more than 95%.

The daily passenger volume at Changsha airport reached more than 60,000. The hot destinations include Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Xi¡¯an, with at least 10 flights operated every day. The Changsha-Shanghai and Changsha-Hainan direct routes have 20 flights every day.

Beyond that, a number of tourism air routes were added or resumed, such as that from Changsha to Lhasa, Jiuzhaigou, Shangri-La, and Zhongwei. More wide-body aircrafts are used on the routes to Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu.

The Hunan Airport Management Group collaborates with airlines, scenic areas, hotels, and businesses to offer catering, entertainment, and accommodation discounts, and ¡°air ticket + hotel¡± and ¡°air ticket + scenic spot¡± package services, to passengers. Moreover, transferring passengers at the Changsha Huanghua International Airport can enjoy free stays, foods, and luggage deposit services. These measures would facilitate integration of aviation and tourism, attract more visitors to Hunan, accelerate resumption of aviation and tourism at the post-epidemic period, and boost Hunan¡¯s economic and social development.
