Hunan Red Cross Society Donates Flood Disaster Relief Materials to Yueyang

Between July 15 and 16, the Red Cross Society of China Hunan Branch Disaster Relief Work Team visited Yueyang to learn about flood disaster situations, instructed the Yueyang Red Cross Society to do rescue work during the flood season, and visited flood-affected families. Disaster relief materials worth about 700,000 CNY allocated by Hunan Branch were delivered to Yueyang and will be distributed to flood-affected people.

Disaster relief materials including tents, cotton jackets, face masks, ethyl alcohol, disinfectant, and, medical supplies for heatstroke, mosquito, and influenza prevention are donated to support flood control frontline workers. The work team instructed the Red Cross Society in Yueyang City, Yueyanglou District, and Xiangyin County to install more tents along the flood prevention dykes. Temporary health centers and rest areas were set up.
