Mayor Li Inspects Yunxi District

On July 15, Yueyang Mayor Li Aiwu went to Yunxi District to supervise flood prevention and rescue work and dispatched caprolactam relocation and expansion project construction. Xiang Weixiong, CPC Yueyang Municipal People¡¯s Congress Leadership Group secretary and Standing Committee executive vice director; Hu Jianxin, CPC Yueyang Municipal Standing Committee member and United Front Work Department director; Luo Yueli, Yueyang Municipal People¡¯s Congress Standing Committee secretary-general; Liu Chuanhan, Yueyang Municipal People¡¯s Government secretary-general; and, persons in charge of relevant departments, attended. 

The Yangtze River main embankments in Yunxi District is as long as 28 km. They are responsible for protecting the safety of the lives and properties of 180,000 people, as well as the major factories such as the two petrochemical plants, the flood control safety of enterprises in the port area, and the important traffic routes such as Beijing-Guangzhou and Wuhan-Guangzhou railways.

Mayor Li and her entourage successively visited the key flood control areas such as the Yangtze River main embankments and the Xianggu Port Electricity Discharge and Detention Station, to supervise the flood control and prevention, arrangement of personnel on duty, and logistics support, and guide the flood prevention and rescue work.


She then presided over a symposium to listen to reports on the flood prevention and prevention work in Yunxi District, the building of caprolactam relocation and expansion projects, and the investment promotion of the downstream industry chain.


She also put forward specific requirements on the work of central-local matchmaking and project land use.
