On June 1, the Hunan Development and Reform Commission announced on a meeting that Hunan will grasp the opportunities brought by important policies to stabilize employment. Focus will be put on new infrastructures and new urbanization initiatives, and major projects for national development such as transportation and water conservancy. A group of projects will be planned with expanded effective investments.

As this year¡¯s Government Work Report mentioned, priority will be given to new infrastructure, new urbanization initiatives and major projects, which not only boost consumption and benefit the people, but also facilitate structural adjustments and enhance the sustainability of growth.

During the first four months this year, Hunan¡¯s fixed asset investments grew by 1.5%. The growth rate of infrastructure and industrial investments were 6.8% and 2.9% respectively, up 11.3 and 2.9 percentage points. This indicates that, Hunan has trimmed its investment drops, and further stabilized economic development. The fundamentals of Hunan¡¯s long-term sound economic growth remain unchanged.

Hunan will take the opportunity of national policies to boost new infrastructure construction such as industrial internet, 5G, and new energy charging piles. It will apply for national supports to promoting new urbanization, major project construction, poverty alleviation, equipment manufacturing, and revitalization of the old revolutionary base areas, to give full play to the role of stable investment.
