List of Towns to Be Strong in Agricultural Industries in Hunan
Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced on its official website a list of 259 towns selected to be built into the towns in strong agricultural industries this year. Among them, Hunan has 14 places on the list.
They are:
Lingguan Town, Anren County, Chenzhou City
Huanglong Town, Xinning County, Shaoyang City
Xiling Town, Changning City, Hengyang City
Sanxianhu Town, Nanxian County, Yiyang City
Huashi Town, Xiangtan County, Xiangtan City
Huangshantou Town, Anxiang County, Changde City
Yingtian Town, Quyuan Administrative District, Yueyang City
Zhongcun Yao Township, Yanling County, Zhuzhou City
Huangtuling Town, Youxian County, Zhuzhou City
Lingxi Town, Cili County, Zhangjiajie City
Daligang Town, Taojiang County, Yiyang City
Chalin Town, Shuangpai County, Yongzhou City
Qiaokou Town, Wangcheng District, Changsha City
Liye Town, Longshan County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture
The list was decided based on applications from local county-level governments, recommendations from provincial agricultural and rural departments and financial departments, and reviews by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Finance.
The central government gives appropriate subsidies and rewards to these newly selected towns to support them in building themselves into strong agricultural industrial towns. Subsidy funds will be used to develop leading township¡¯s agricultural industries and support key areas and weak links in the development and operation of the entire industrial chain, such as refrigeration and preservation, and processing and marketing. This will help promote the transformation and upgrading of leading industries, push leading industries to grow bigger and stronger, and gradually build a modern agricultural industry system.
