Data Technology Facilitates Hunan¡¯s Economic Recovery
President Xi Jinping visited national political advisors from the economic sector attending a joint panel discussion at the third session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People¡¯s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on May 23. He called for faster progress in advancing the development of digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, life and health, new materials and other strategic emerging industries, highlighting the creation of new growth areas and drivers.
Du Jiahao, a deputy to the 13th National People¡¯s Congress (NPC) and secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, spoke highly of Hunan¡¯s ¡°Xiang Consumption¡± campaign at the panel meeting of Hunan delegation to the third session of the 13th NPC on May 23. ¡°The Hunan Federation of Trade Unions and the Department of Finance initiated the ¡®Xiang Consumption¡¯ campaign to promote consumption. It is an innovative, and effective practice,¡± he said.
This represents Hunan¡¯s innovative efforts in responding to the test of the epidemic, and accelerating development of digital economy and intelligent manufacturing.
Hunan has fully used internet-based technologies such as big data, AI, 5G, and Cloud computing in coordinating epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development. A number of data-based platforms were established, including ¡°Xiang Consumption¡±, ¡°Xiang Employment¡±, ¡°Mango Poverty-relief Cloud Supermarket¡±, and ¡°Xiang Agricultural Product E-commerce Fair¡±. These efforts provide new growth drivers for the real economy, and generate new industries in the resumption of normal work and production. Hunan explores new business opportunities in risks, and has accelerated its economic recovery.
