China (Yueyang) Cross-border E-Commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone Construction in Progress

On May 22, the Yueyang Municipal People¡¯s Government held a work promotion meeting for the comprehensive pilot zone for cross-border e-commerce in China (Yueyang). The Yueyang Municipal Commerce and Grain Bureau and other relevant departments reported on the construction progress. Vice Mayor Qiu Hong attended.

Since the China (Yueyang) Cross-border E-Commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone was approved in last December, its implementation plan has been formally issued. According to the plan, Yueyang government will highlight the geographical advantages of the pilot zone. It will make full use of the customs clearance and bonded functions of the Chenglingji Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the port and shipping logistics function of the Chenglingji New Port Area, the Sanhe Airport aviation hub, and the e-commerce industrial park, to build a cross-border e-commerce customs clearance supervision network with reasonable layout, preferential policies, complete facilities, and complete functions, forming an e-commerce demonstration base and the development pattern of cross-border e-commerce supported by the e-commerce industrial park.

Presently, the pilot zone has started the preparation of bids for the construction of online comprehensive platforms and inspection lines. The 7,000-square-meter Hunan Cross-border E-commerce Inspection and Supervision Center has completed construction and inspection as scheduled. Precise investment promotion has been carried out, and the International Commerce and Trade Bonded Logistics Trading Center has attracted more than 100 companies to sign contracts and complete leasing.
