Yueyang City Prepares ¡°Gift Package¡± for Hubei Migrant Workers
Chen Ailin, CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee deputy secretary, visited the Itas project construction site on March 30, 2020. He gave a ¡°gift package¡± to more than 30 Hubei employees who resumed work, to express the ¡°neighborhood friendship¡± between the people of Yueyang and Hubei.
Since the exit channels of Hubei Province (except Wuhan City) reopened, a slogan saying ¡°Hunan and Hubei are sister provinces; Welcome to Yueyang¡± is seen at the Yueyang East Railway Station, hanging on the borders of Hubei, Huarong County, and Linxiang City. The counties (county-level cities) and districts of Yueyang City have dispatched chartered buses to Jianli, Tongcheng, and other places of Hubei Province, to welcome migrant workers to return to work. There were more than 400 Hubei migrant workers returned to work at Chenglingji New Port Area and Comprehensive Bonded Zone, with a return to work rate of more than 90%.
Yueyang is also a ¡°transit station¡± for Hubei migrant workers. The CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee and the People¡¯s Government of Yueyang City organized the work to receive them and implemented a ¡°point-to-point¡± vehicle pick-up service. The Yueyang East and South Railway Stations effectively did well in public area ventilation and disinfection, passenger temperature detection, and epidemic prevention and knowledge publicity, and provided waiting rooms for returning workers. Since the exit channels of Hubei Province reopened, the Yueyang Railway Station opened the first special train on March 26 to send 346 migrant workers from Hubei to Guangdong. In recent days, more than 30,000 migrant workers have left Hubei via Yueyang every day.
