Hunan downgraded its emergency response toward the COVID-19 outbreak from the second level to the third level, decided by the Hunan Leading Group on Epidemic Prevention and Control. This decision was made in line with the state regulations and the provincial emergency response plans for public health incidents, and based on current situations.

Local authorities are required to continue to implement measures to prevent imported cases and a rebound of the epidemic, consolidate the effectiveness of epidemic prevention and control, and promote the resumption of work, production and school , so as to win the battle against the epidemic while maintaining economic and social development.
