Central Working Team Inspects Work and Production Resumption in Hunan

An inspection team of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council for resumption of work and production started their inspections in Hunan recently, under the deployment of the Central government.

Du Jiahao, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Xu Dazhe, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Hunan governor, met in Changsha with Wang Zhijun, inspection team leader and vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. They exchanged views on boosting all-around resumption of work and production, and coordinating epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development.

Provincial leaders Hu Henghua, Xie Jianhui, Zhang Jianfei, and Chen Fei attended the meeting or the inspection tour.

Du welcomed the inspection team on behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government. He noted that, after the COVID-19 epidemic outbreak, especially after the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee meeting held on February 3, Hunan has thoroughly studied President Xi Jinping’s important instructions on coordinating epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development. All-out efforts have been made, on the premise of preventing and control epidemic spread, to make early judgement, early deployment, and early implementation for orderly resumption of work and production. A series of measures have been rolled out, including designating liaisons to enterprises to assist their epidemic prevention and control work; guaranteeing smooth transportation; establishing public employment service platform; supporting resumed enterprises to organize nucleic acid detection; assisting workers to return to work; and, helping enterprises stabilize employment and create jobs, and solve their problems of financial strain, blocked logistics, and unmatched industrial chain. These measures aimed to boost effective and orderly resumption of work, production, and daily life, and minimize impacts of the epidemic. He hoped the inspection team to guide Hunan, and assist in solving the difficulties in industrial chain and logistics and putting all measures to boost resumption of work and production in place, and achieve the goals of epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development.

Wang said that, the inspection team will inspect communities and villages, front-line institutions, and enterprises to observe Hunan’s work and production resumption progress, collect advices and summarize experience, and report and help solve difficulties, so as to guarantee full implementation of the deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council.
